Why do parents believe kids act disobedient because they think they know too much? Kids know they don't know enough and it is absolutely frustrating. What's more frustrating is when parents try to give advice because the advice just affirms that the kid knows nothing. But like everyone else, we kids learn that not listening to what a parent says is the worst thing that can happen because it sometimes yields to results that can be just as frustrating as the advice. He'll grow out of it in time.

@JakMar6 Ben died on January 19th 2009. The cancer that robbed him of his sight came back to take his life, but his spirit and accomplishments will live on forever to inspire people.

I am not sure how using a cane would have prevented him from being lost on the way to a new school. If he wasn't paying attention the fist time it is just like a sighted kid who moves and then forgets which st to take. Same with someone with a cane.
