Right now this minute they are speaking on unemployment extensions in the senate, on c span 2 and the republicans are blocking it, it doesn't look like they are going to approve it until (maybe") after spring break.... this doesn't look good for long term unemployed people.

This is what you want to do, defy the Federal Government when they mandate unemployment for those that lost their jobs in The Great Recession. The President can then CUT the grant given for, say, law enforcement to the state of Kentucky. When law enforcement would get 14 million, it will now get 3 million there. So when murders, rapes, robberies, trespasses, etc. go drastically UP, and people become in a sense, more apprehensive to leave their properties, You can say, "I played a game, and lost"

The New Tax Extenders bill (H.R.4213) that is likely to come before Congress sometime over the next week is the vehicle that will extend unemployment eligibility till the end of 2010. While thats good news for millions who will benefit from knowing their unemployment wont be ending till years end, its of little condolence to the Millions of 99ers who have exhausted their benefits.
