About éiretherm
Eiretherm is a company based in Cahir, Co. Tipperary. It was founded to help service the environmental compliance requirements of the building industry. Its founders and financial backers have many years history of successful operations in the construction and development sectors.
Recently they have grown acutely aware of the need of Renewable Energy in the Development sector, for both new houses and existing houses.
As the cost of oil and gas bills increase, so does the cost of heating and running your home and as rising energy bills affect us all, it is crucial that we consider alternative, more efficient means of providing and utilising energy.
Eiretherm want to make it as easier and more affordable to choose green solutions for micro generation of renewable energy. Therefore, we have up a One Stop Shop offering a range of different technologies. Eiretherm products comply with the BER rating from Sustainable Energy Ireland.
Why Save Energy?
There are two reasons why we should try and save energy for the planet and for ourselves. When we burn fossil fuels (to produce electricity, heat our homes or fuel our cars) carbon dioxide is released into the atmosphere. Since the industrial revolution the amount of carbon dioxide that is released each year has increased.
On a more personal note, saving energy will save you money and make your life more comfortable and more healthy. You can reduce your energy bills, improve the warmth of your home and reduce condensation. The amount of money you save depends on the cost of your heating fuel, and although current electricity and oil prices are higher than gas, it is a matter of great speculation as to what the relative prices will be in years to come.
In Ireland, around 30% of all carbon dioxide emissions released into the atmosphere come from the energy used in our homes.
Since the 1st of June, all newly built houses in Ireland must adhere to the new building regulations was that put into place to reduce carbon emissions in Ireland. This means that every new home must have some sort of renewable
energy technology that will reduce the level of CO2 emissions the house will produce.
Energy efficient measures can easily reduce this impact by a third, possibly reduce your heating bill by half and increase the value in your property.
