Cap and Trade Bill Explained by Obama - Creates clean energy and new green jobs

Video Description:
Cap and trade will create jobs for sure; the problem is that they will be in other countries. This is not a clean energy bill, it is an anti-carbon bill. For this new law to work, it must raise energy prices. Just use your brain to think for a moment. If it does not raise energy prices, then why would industry or individuals change their ways and use less energy, or switch to "cleaner" sources of energy, or even worse, leave the country?
So now that we agree that energy prices must go up in order for this law to have its intended results, the next question is who is going to be paying for these increased prices? The answer of course is you and me. You must ask yourself what is not produced by the expenditure of energy? If you think of any, then these are the things that will not see a price increase, but everything else will. This will be a huge tax increase on every one of us, rich and poor.
And be assured that this is an unfair tax because of how it will be applied. It will be an increase in the price of products, goods, labor, and energy, which will unfairly affect the poor because the percentage of their income spent on these things is nearly 100%, while the rich have plenty of extra income to offset the effect of this tax increase. Obama and the democrats are planning a huge tax increase on the poor and middle class of this country, and they must be stopped.
There will of course be unintended consequences with the passage of this law, which is normal when dealing with democrat legislation. Jobs will leave this country, and this is a fact. On this issue Obama is either a liar, or he is very naïve. With these increases in production prices, the corporations will see a quick fix in their ability to compete, and that fix will be to ship jobs overseas where there are no tax and trade laws such as these. This is going to be very bad for our country and its people.
If you care about your country and its future, then you will contact your Senator this fall when they take up this legislation and tell them that you are against it and that if they vote for it then you will personally go door to door during their next election and try your hardest to get them defeated. We must put the pressure on the politicians and remind them that they work for the people, not the clean energy corporations, or Al Gore.

While America enjoys a Friday watching "Transformers," the country is being transformed behind our backs.
The House is sneaking in a vote on the mammoth 1,500 page Waxman-Markey climate change bill.
Why are they burying this vote on a Friday?
It could be because earth's temperatures have flat-lined since 2001 — despite an increase in CO2 emissions (that's an inconvenient stat), helping to swell the number of skeptical scientists to over 700 — or 13 times the scientists who wrote the supposed consensus.
It could be because more Americans are figuring out that this energy policy is just an energy tax and guaranteed to do only one thing: Raise energy prices for consumers.
But don't take my word on that claim, take it from President Obama: "under my plan of a cap-and-trade system, electricity rates would necessarily skyrocket.
Why, in the middle of a global economic crisis, would we even consider a bill that the Wall Street Journal says would be "the biggest tax in American history"?
Because it's not about saving the cute, fuzzy, man-eating polar bears, the spotted owl, the cumulus clouds or the caribou. The science is not settled on this at all — not even close.
This is about power, money and control.
But America is caught up with "Hey, did you hear? Michael Jackson is dead!"
Concentrate on things that are important, like those who are pushing this energy bill stand to gain the most from it:
• Nancy Pelosi has $50,000 to $100,000 in Clean Energy Fuels Corp.
• Rep. Edward Markey — hmm, why does that name sound familiar? — has investments between $51,000 and $115,000 in the Firsthand Technology Value Fund (which as three solar-energy manufacturers)
• Al Gore — Mr. "Inconvenient Truth" himself — his venture capital firm is heavily invested in a new software company that's making software to help companies track their carbon footprint. He, and companies like his, will make a fortune.
Not only will this bill make politicians rich, it will increase their power as well. The government will control what you can and cannot do

"Who's the man behind the curtain"??
My Lord this guy is so full of shit. Any wonder why his eyes are brown?
So the millions of Americans in the free market failed to see these high dollar green jobs, and some bureaucrat thats never had a job came up with this great idea?
It's also funny that the government wants to charge companies for the very thing that they need in order to produce energy. It would be funny if these energy companies pulled the Govt's bluff and just threatened to go out of business. Then you wouls have the govt just raising taxes instead of making the "evil companies" do it.

..and it paid for by the "Poluters"...if the cost to produce EVERYTHING pretty much goes up because of a tax...which of you idiots think that that cost is not going to be passed on to almost every product we consume? Either that or factories go overseas where they won't have this tax. Is that not 1+1=2 ?
Co2 is not "Pollution" folks. Everyone is breathing it Out. It is all just part of a global Depopulation policy.
