As far as I'm concerned, Britian ruled over Palestine during this period. What's your point. Britian (and alot of other colonial powers) of ruled over many countries, but were taken out by the PEOPLE THAT LIVE THERE, which in reality, the power of the land should belong to the people, not to some foreign colonial power.

In more History. Jews lived in those lands through out history.This land was conquered by many nations. And i still dont see, why you say it belongs to Palestinians? Why not to Egyptians? Or Syrians? Or Italians? Or Greek? Or Jews? They all ruled over those lands. Not to mention, that Jews live in those lands for thousands years, even before Arab culture as we know it , existed.

At exactly the time, post WWII, colonialist empires were being unwound. Palestinians had been occupied by various empires since ancient Egyptian times - all the talk of an ancient kingdom of Israel is just nonsense. Post-war, western powers scotched a Pan-Arab nation, a Greater Syria (both acceptable to Palestinians) then an independent Palestine by allowing Zionists to take control. The British removed Palestinian leadership and guns in the revolt. Zionists always outgunned the locals.

Furthermore, in general, the Arab states never fully committed their armies for the Palestinians - you have to ask them why - except for Jordan which was already given the West Bank by Israel and took East Jerusalem by force. Post WWII, international law preferred return of refugees as was recommended by the UN (194) but refused by Israel. This is the conflict in a nutshell IF justice is your concern. Any other agenda will not suit this analysis but avoids the heart of the Palestinian cause

I dot understand the claim that the israelis stole this land from the arabs. the arabs conquered this land from another nation that sat there before them. They occupy this country just as they claim the jews are occupying it now. Fact of the matter is, palestinians are not going anywhere and the israelis are there to stay.
